A Wendy’s restaurant in Georgia has redefined the expression “burger joint,” ever since one of their trusty employees was busted for serving a customer a cheeseburger topped with an unexpected cannabis condiment.
According to the Lovejoy Police Department, a pissed off customer called 911 earlier last month, after she reportedly sunk her teeth into of a half smoked blunt that had somehow made its way on her burger.
Unfortunately, rather than just making the decision to enjoy the free weed and save the cheeseburger for after the munchies kicked in, the customer ratted the restaurant out to the authorities, who quickly responded after dispatch reported kids may be slinging weed out of drive-thru windows.
When the police arrived, they asked employees if the cheeseburger with extra weed was a new addition to the menu or if one of them had just mistaken the blunt for a pickle. It did not take long before 32-year-old Amy Seibler stepped up and confessed that she was the one that “misplaced” the blunt after getting smoked out on the job.
Of course, the situation did not end well for Seibler, who was immediately fired from her burger making duties, arrested and taken to a local jail.
"Obviously the employee broke the rules and did not follow proper food handling steps ... We are deeply sorry that this incident occurred,” said a representative for Wendy’s.
However, we believe Seibler is an innovator, as an honest stoner mistake may have just become an integral game changer in the world of marijuana edibles: Behold the McWeedy with cheese.
