Samaki Walker, a former NBA player who suited up for the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards, Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers after being drafted by the Dallas Mavericks ninth overall back in 1996, was arrested in Arizona last week.
Walker was pulled over by police for a traffic violation and was caught attempting to dispose of eight grams of pot the hard way – he was trying to eat his stash.
In all, Walker was busted with about 10 grams of pot, prescription drugs and “eight bottles of liquid steroids.”
According to Walker, the steroids are perfectly legal in Syria, where he currently plays ball. Nonetheless, they’re a misdemeanor in Arizona.
Walker was arrested and held on $2,000 bond. His hearing is set for August 5.
