Despite the positive news coming out of last November’s election – which saw Colorado and Washington state legalize recreational marijuana use – the war on drugs is alive and well.
Border agents at an Arizona crossing claim to have made the largest pot seizure in history. A 26-year-old man was busted with 14,151 pounds of weed stowed in the tractor-trailer he was driving.
The previous seizure record was 12,000 pounds confiscated in 2010.
This month alone border officials report they’ve confiscated seven tons of pot, which they claim is worth about $12 million dollars.
