Curse of the White Lighter

Evan York is director and producer of From Baghdad to Hollywood: The Lfe of Mardik Martin (Martin was the screenwriter of Raging Bull and Mean Streets). York has produced over 50 animated short films including The Dream Machine, a 20-episode series, and an 18-minute animated short, 7 WEAKS, for Small And Creepy Films. He taught himself stop-motion animation.

Yorks paintings have appeared in exhibitions at prominent New York and Los Angeles galleries since 1995. He also operates York Clothing, selling hand-drawn t-shirts internationally. Steven Tyler, Janes Addiction, Billy Idol and Calista Flockhart are huge fans. Original York designs have appeared on the fashion runways of Spain, the Netherlands and Berlin. On June 13th and14th, York will be exhibiting his artwork and his clothing line at the THC EXPO in Los Angeles.

EVERY ONE IS RETARDED!!! THERES NO SUCH THING AS A WHITE LIGHTER BEING CURSED. THE COLOR OF UR LIGHTER DOESNT AFFECT WETHER YOU GET CAUGHT OR SUMTHING BAD HAPPENS TO YOU THATS YOUR OWN FAULT OR JUST BAD LUCK. ITS JUST A STUPID SUPERSTION THAT ONLY STUPID PEOPLE BELIEVE!!!!!!!!

OK, so I used a white lighter at work a while back. On my way home my blew a head gasket. I pull off the road and what happened? Blew a tire. Dude white lighters are scary shit another time I accidentally used one while at a party and the next day my glass piece got nudged off the countertop and shattered all over my kitchen floor. And finally the last time to date that I used a whitey, I had my wallet stolen at warped tour and lost several hundred dollars. My heart stops beating every time a see a white lighter... PS> Mix Orange Haze n Sweet Tooth together if your an indica lover, smoke a joint of that, damn. Relatively cheap too ;)

Yeah, 2 nights ago me and my friends were smoking a blunts and got rolled by a cop. Before we got rolled by the cop I sparked up the blunt with a white lighter. When the cop came to the window of my car, he said "Do you know why I pulled you over?" I responded saying "No sir." He was looking around in my car and in my cup holder thing there was a white lighter and a swisher sweet blunt still in the rapper. He said to us "You guys aren't do anything illegal are you?" I said no my friend was just smoke a grape swisher sweet. He went back to his car and then another officer rolled up and asked us all to get out of the car. So we did and he searched the car. I was high as fuck and pulled out a square and started smoking it. The officer asked me if I had anything that I wasn't suppose to. I said "Yes, I do I have a bowl in the center console." he took it. Then he told us to get back in the car. 2 mins later he come to the window and give me my bowl back and says "Not call cops a assholes."

Hell yeah WHITE LIGHTERS!

at home we use the clear lighters-how can you buy a lighter then get rid of it-just buy a different lighter first time.
also, you can see how much fluid youve got with a clear one

I never let anyone use a white lighter in my dorm room - the ONE time we had no fire and my beautiful, ceramic 4-string hookah was loaded and the white bic lighter "had" to be used disaster happened: by the 3rd person, there was a knock on the door and BAM, the whole thing SHATTERED into 50 little pieces.... i kept the larger parts for YEARS in denial because i loved that piece so much =( i wont use a white lighter on my own pieces anymore...

The first time we used a white lighter my friends were like ehh it cant be true its ok well that night the roof of his house caved in from a random broken pipe. There was seemingly no cause it just randomly happened.

Ok this story makes no sense, curse of the White lighter. usually that refers to a stint of bad luck after purchasing or being given a white lighter, but i guess if i want stories that make sense i'll just stick to reading Cannabis Culture.

It's definitely a rumor I've heard before, and I haven't personally experienced the white lighter phenomenon, but of course know someone who did.

I saw down below somewhere that someone said they carry a pink lighter to reduce theft. Me too...you'll always get it back at the end of the night, because most guys won't lift one, even unconsciously. They always come back and say, "Uh, hey, didn't you have the pink lighter?"

Now, for the record, I'm the only dude I know who does this...but if you're comfortable with your manhood, it sure beats buying lighters all the time. They're hard to find, though.

there is deffinatly a curse. every time i got pulled over or busted, i was using one or some one around me was using one. have not fucked with one since the last time. i catch alot of flack about it though.

its bullshit. no white lites. NONE. i dont care. other people can believe what they want but in my experience, shady shit happens with white lighters. ive literally pulled over and told a very good friend of mine to "get the fuck out" if she had that shit. i think it only applys though if your IN possession of one AND using it for all considered purposes. otherwise, being in the general vicinity isnt harmful. its not like its leprosy.

i don't belive white lighters are cursed. they are just lame. Get a colored lighter and have some fun with it! lol
I prefer a black or green bic myself. On a side note whats with all the political ranting? jeez, this is a lighter thing, not a bitch online about the state of the world, while bashing every country including the ones they probably live in, people aren't smoking enough these days. :P

i got pulled over this weekend with an unkonwn suspended license sixty miles from home and when i finally got a tow truck to tow the car home with dope in the car and on the seat was a white lighter and i was thinking as the second cop car pulled up behind the first, that i was going down. costed me 260.00 for tow truck and close to four hundred in minor offenses like improper wearing of seat belt burnt out third brake light and not up to date license that is with the correct adress on it. talk about shitty luck but didnt get caught with my green!

white lighters are a personal favorite of mine. i even rip off the plastic on flick my bics so it becomes white. YELLOW lighters however are the back luck ones. i've been pulled over once with marijuana on me and there was a yellow lighter right beside me.

the white lighter curse goes up and down with me. for a long time i refused to use one. then it was all i had and i used it for a while. after a while a friend confronted me and told me i HAD to get rid of it. The times ive had white lighters more UNLUCKY things have happened to me then times without white lighters.

so idk, i think it just depends on how superstitious you are.

theres no curse on any lighters, thats the dumbest shit ive ever heard. i live in middleville and theres a yellow lighter "curse" here, about 4 hours away in grand rapids its red lighters. i even bought a bunch of "cursed" lighters and nothing happened. even if something did happen theres no way the color of the bic i have in my pocket has anything to do with it. thank yo u and have a nice day

I always thought that white lighters were unlucky because all lighters are white if you peel the wrapping off. It's the sign of a stolen lighter; your buddy pockets it and peels off the outside so you can't recognize it!
