Last year i got busted growing large quantities of dope. I'm currently using an aeroponics system and I'm looking for a breed of marijuana that will thrive in the system. I use B.C. Hydroponic Nutrients.

In the state if Michigan growing 19 plants is a misdemeanor and 20 is a felony. Because i can only grow 19 plants, harvesting 2 plants every three weeks, I want a breed of marijuana that is extremely potent, fruity, and uplifting but packs lots of weight. Which strain do you recommend?

These are the breeds I am considering: Blackberry, Mazar, Chronic, White Russian, Fucking Incredible, Romulan, Big Bud, and Amsterdam Flame. I am open-minded though. If you have any better sugestions I would appreciate it! Thanks!

Hi, I'm a new grower and in my closet I had three breeds of plants. During the flowering stage to sex them (I grew them from seeds) I noticed I had a hermathodite so I pulled it asap!! I have come to notice that every plant in the closet now has seeds along with bud. So are the clones I cut from these plants prior to sexing no good? I have them growing in a seperate chamber underneath the closet. Also, are all these seeds guaranteed females or could they go both ways?

Danny thanks for the heads up on the botanical brothers pots in the 2010 stasth award for best growing container those things work insane can you do a test on them and talk more about them in your coming up issues , ive tried every system out there and these buckets are easy to use simple to set up and a easy retrofit. i bought 20 1 gallon and 20 5 gallon just rooting them out in the 1s and finishing them off in the 5 gallons. using there coco mix with black gold and big bloom and sunshine 4. my yoda have never looked so purple and solid. wait till you see these pics. fuckin crazy best nugs ive ever grown hands down.

In the February issue, you cautioned "Curtis in Missouri" NOT to try breeding his own strains. Wow! THAT'S in the spirit of research, learning and development!

What if you'd advised a young, "budding" Soma, as well as all those inspired to greatness, to do the same? What cherished strains might we never have enjoyed? Personally, I don't thing discouraging discovery in such endeavors is a good path... we all learn through our failures, even more than we learn by our successes!

Has any one tried grafting plants I have a great Banna kush that I want to graft onto a Jack horor, I think that the strong tall stalk of the JH could help the banna kush grow even bigger. Any tips on how to graft or what strains graft well together would help

Congrats Danny. I was wondering, is there a safe way to purchase seeds from a seed bank? Europe, Canada, or in the States. I live in Illinois, US, and would like to choose some primo. I suffer from an extreme case of Meniere's Disease (inner ear problems), and this does not qualify for a medical card. I am so tired of listening to 'it's dank' and 'got some hydro'... They really don't know what it is, but feel the need to church it up. I would love to grow something special, 'commercial garbage' is not worth my time and effort. Here is a thanks in advance.

Several plants have got long spindly stems. I gave them more light and moved the lights a bit closer too. Is it ok to bury stalk for support or no? Thanks.

This is my first grow, I have purchaced a grow box. I have a question about TDS. I am following a nutrient formula. For exsample the formula for week one shows a max ppm of 210. The tap water alone is 110. After the water is ph balanced it reads 230 ppm. When I ad the small amount of grow solution it brings the ppm to 310. Do I subtract 230 from 310 to get the ppm.
thanks,

I've been growing awhile, and I need to know if you start a indoor crop, and you know for a fact that you got all the male plants out before they flowered with pollen, having all females left, how come you still get one or two seeds here and there and are those seeds female? Same Question for good bag pot thats only got one or two seeds in a bag?

I need some opinions.
My plant is about two feet tall now, but the leaves are sagging a little bit. I just transplanted it last night into a bigger pot, and I'm wondering if the plant is in shock...... It's a shativa plant. What kind of soil and nutrients are good for it at this stage, and how much light should I be giving it at this point?

Ooops, sorry I meant to say to start popping the seeds to use 14 hours at first, not the flowering stage, my bad. I blame the Chemdawg!

To answer your quetion Mudd, yes male plants can help create seeds that can procue both male or female plants. There are several things that one can do to 'help' seeds turn into female plants vs. males though it is not foolproof. Flowering them at a slightly lower light time (around 14hrs instead of 18+) and providing them with certain spectrum ranges of lighting ( I believe blue, but someone correct me if I'm mistaken ) can also help promote female plants. Stress such as light/water/ph etc can all play a role as well. There are also feminized seeds which will produce female plants that have been gred by man but work pretty well. I prefer using clones myself, as you are pretty much guaranteed all plants to be genetic replicas of their parent and also help speed up the initial growth process, cutting down on total time. Hope I helped.

Hey Austin, depending on where you are located and the climate you can expect different things. I am asssuming youre in the states and that you are seeing shorter daylight and colder temps. I would say the minimum amount of sunlight you want for your vegie period is 14 hours (this can actually help your number of female vs. males if from seed). If the temps drop too low, the growth rate of your babies will slow to a halt and if its too cold, they will die. A tent that lets in light with a heater or bringing them in at nite for warmer temps can work too. Once again though, it depends on it your are further north or down south and how extreme the temps get. If you keep the base of the plant warmer, the plants can take a slightly lower temp as well. Good Luck!

Id say I know a decent amount of information regarding growing at home outdoors. But one of my questions thats never been answered directly is what kind of effects will starting my plants outdoors in november have on my crop? This is probably an easy question but im just looking for a direct answer.
