In this clip from the South African indie movie Matwetwe, best friends Lefa and Papi tend to their marijuana grow, marveling at its potency and aroma.
Matwetwe (Wizard) is a coming-of-age adventure following Lefa and Papi, best friends and recent high school graduates, on the hustle of their young lives.
Over the course of an action-packed New Years Eve in the iconic South African township of Atteridgeville, the boys try to score a huge deal, dodge a kingpin gangster and his violent minions, get the girl, and ultimately save their lives in this hilarious, and sometimes serious, escapade.
Written and directed by South African comedian Kagiso Lediga, Matwetwe just premiered at Fantastic Fest, and will continue making the festival circuit throughout the next few months. To find out where you can see the film in your area, follow Kagiso Lediga on Twitter.
