Imagine you were given the choice: “You take the blue pill—the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill—you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.”

A serious Laurence Fishburne stares at you with his palm outstretched holding out your options. “Remember: all I’m offering is the truth. Nothing more.” Would you choose to settle forever in the secure and blissful ignorance of the Matrix and go for blue, or grab up that red to see the truth in reality?

The reality of this situation makes any indecisive person itch in agony. Luckily for those of us not in the world of the Matrix maybe it can be easier, less pressure. Perhaps, in reality, it’s easier than making decisions on which drugs in science fiction and fantasy to take.

Maybe seeking enlightenment can be just as easy as meditating or even drinking ayahuasca.

  1. The Matrix Red/Blue pills aren’t drugs. Tired of reading that.
Blue is placebo and Red is the tracking device. Waking you up from battery sleep, and helping the “real” humans find you in the human energy harvesting complex. There’s no drug effect.
