Luxury Dispensary Opening In Hollywood Hotel

Talk about a cool cannabis collaboration!

Luxury Dispensary Opening In A Hollywood Hotel

Edibles brand Lord Jones has announced a partnership with the boutique hotel group Standard International to open a luxury dispensary retail shop in the lobby of the Standard Hollywood hotel in early 2018.

Best Low Dose Edibles

Lord Jones offers a range of THC and CBD edibles, including gourmet gumdrops that were named Best Low Dose Edible for New Users by High Times in 2016.

The partnership with the Standard Hollywood will bring Lord Jones’ full line of gumdrops, caramels, chocolates and chews to the nation’s first hotel-based dispensary, just as California laws change to allow for recreational use by adults. The company plans to expand to the Standard’s downtown Los Angeles location, and beyond, as regulations permit.

The story was first reported in the Los Angeles Times, where company founder and chief executive Robert Rosenheck was quoted saying: “We’ve been working on this for over a year, and we wanted to make the announcement first—to our knowledge, this will be the first hotel-based dispensary in the nation.”

Cool Cannabis Collaborations

Lord Jones has always positioned itself at the vanguard of interesting artistic collaborations.

Last year, the cannabis confection maker partnered with Iceland’s ethereal post-rock group Sigur Ros to release a limited-edition collection of medicated gumdrops inspired by the flavor of foraged Icelandic berries. Celebs like Busy Phillips have been spotted at Lord Jones medicated sound baths, where guests consume low-dose edibles and drift away to the soothing sounds of gongs.

The company has a health and wellness initiative, in keeping with the Los Angeles penchant for staying fit and fabulous. This year on 4/20, Lord Jones brought a “higher healing” recovery workshop to the Hollywood Equinox gym, where guests were invited to use the brand’s cannabis-infused topicals on sore muscles.

A Hollywood Hotel Flagship Meets Luxury Dispensary

Located on the ground floor of the hotel, the luxury dispensary will cater to both hotel guests and Los Angeles locals.

In a press release, CEO and managing partner of Standard International, Amar Lalvani said, “Cannabis is gaining enhanced relevancy as a key component of wellness, awareness and discovery. The Lord Jones dispensary will provide the finest cannabis products available seamlessly integrated into the Standard experience.”

Robert Rosenheck added: “The Lord Jones flagship in The Standard Hollywood will break new ground as we continue our mission to bring the cannabis movement into the mainstream.”

The two companies plan to collaborate on an exclusive line of co-branded THC and hemp-derived CBD products that will eventually be available to guests at all Standard hotels.

Lord Jones edibles include individually wrapped dark chocolate and espresso chews, gourmet gumdrops packaged nine to a box, and soothing topicals in CBD and CBD/THC formulations.
