Music Video Premiere: Sammy Wilk’s “Light Up”

He might be from Nebraska, but the Jamaican spirit is obviously coursing through the veins of Sammy Wilk. The young pop-reggae artist, who recently dropped his album “Ready for War,” teamed up with Ky-Mani Marley on the single “Light Up,” and HIGH TIMES has the exclusive music video premiere!

“We filmed it in Jamaica and Miami,” Wilk explained. “My favorite experience about the whole thing was really just being able to vibe with Ky-Mani and get some cool shots together. All of the shots in Jamaica were obviously a lot of fun and really wrapped up my experience in Jamaica.”

And Marley agrees that he was feeling those irie vibes.

“Sammy is just a really talented, humble individual so the entire process was a joy,” Marley said.

Of course, it’s easy to have a good time when the ganja’s lit, and the entire song is basically an ode to chilling out and lighting up. (Marley likes to keep it simple, smoking Sativa during the day and Indica at night!) So roll one, smoke one and call the blunt again because this feel-good tune is definitely going to end up on your next smoke sesh playlist.

Check out Sammy Wilk’s video for “Light Up” above and follow him on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. His full album “Ready for War” is available for purchase now on iTunes.
