On-demand rideshare service Uber has announced a partnership with our friends Weedmaps as well as a dispensary called The Clinic in Denver to prevent stoners from unnecessarily driving high if they’ve had too many dabs or what not. Additionally, according to TechCrunch, each time a stoner hitches a ride with Uber using the promo code “clinicms,” the company will donate $5 to multiple sclerosis research — a fitting combination with medical marijuana roots.
Uber has been open to some wild marketing ploys in the past to grow their users, but this promotion shouldn’t seem so bizarre — it’s really a win-win for all parties involved and the fact that they’re raising money for a good cause?
