From comedy shows to a cannabis carnival and cookout, these are the best places to toke up this summer in the City of Angels (and Angel OG).

Mel Frank: When We Were Criminals

Kicking off our list of 420-friendly summer events in Los Angeles is Mel Frank’s “When We Were Criminals” exhibition at M+B Photo. The exhibit represents the solo debut of cannabis botany pioneer Mel Frank, whose work captures snapshots of the evolving cannabis cultivation industry in California over the past 40 years.

It’s only appropriate that LA’s most iconic classic movies be screened amongst the graves of some of Hollywood’s most famous stars…right? That’s the idea with Cinespia, the outdoor movie series held on the grass at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. With picnic-style seating, a policy permitting outside beer and wine, and designated smoking sections, you’ll be able to turn up before the sun goes down for movies like Vertigo (6/30), Thelma & Louise (7/4), and The Graduate (7/28).
