Have you been missing your guy? That Guy? Well, you’re in luck: The wonderful, wacky web series High Maintenance is back today with 3 new episodes. Released today on Vimeo for just $1.99 an episode (come on, that’s less than you spend on your morning Starbucks!), the new episodes give us a look at The Guy delivering weed to a couple who have moved out of their comfort zone, running into a somewhat unhinged rival weed dealer with a yen for percussion, and getting out of town with a group of friends (or maybe they’re frenemies?) for a shroomy weekend retreat.
High Times attended the LA premiere last night at Cinefamily. The evening was hosted by Doug Benson, who subjected HM co-creators Ben Sinclair and Katja Blichfeld to a round of seemingly impossible movie trivia (how many Corey Feldman movies can YOU name?) as part of Benson’s Doug Loves Movies podcast. Comedians Seth Herzog and Kurt Braunohler rounded out the pot-tastic panel. Post-podcast, the long-awaited new eps of High Maintenance were screened to rapturous applause. And then, after a quick Q&A with Sinclair and Blichfeld, the crowd was invited to head outside to the theater’s twinkly-lit garden for snacks, drinks, and for anyone who wanted it, a hit off a very thoughtfully provided Volcano. Delicious!
