Tuesday’s tips for beginner growers are brought to you by HIGH TIMES Cultivation Editor Nico Escondido.
1. When buying lamps, look less at lumens and more at the bulb’s PAR rating (photosynthetically active radiation). The broader the spectrum, the better the light source will be for healthy plants.
2. The primary environmental factors (and ideal stats) that are most critical to a cannabis plant’s development are: plant/ garden temperature (68°F – 74°F), humidity (around 60%) and root zone temp (64°F – 72°F), pH (6.0).
3. A mixture of pure water and some vitamin B1 can aid fresh cutting in rooting faster. Vitamin B1 is known to alleviate plant stress and help produce strong clones.
