Dear Kid,
Some pot plants turn purple due to their genetics, and some turn purple due to cold temperatures during flowering. But with most strains, there’s really no real way to force them to turn purple. You can try to use cold nighttime temps (not freezing, of course) during flowering to encourage purpling, but your best bet is to seek out some seeds of plants that are known to turn purple, such as Grandaddy Purps, Purple Wreck, Lavender, Purple Urkel or Purple Kush.
