With medical and legal weed accepted in more and more states, volunteering for pot research is an option. Donating time and your body to a weed research opportunity promises payment for what you do every day: smoking up.

But take warning. Many medical weed studies require you to have or not have certain medical conditions to qualify.

Some studies are location-specific, so the participant must live in a state with legal bud. Furthermore, many of these studies only promise short-term payment.

So of course, they do not provide a steady income. If seeking research opportunities involving weed, consider trying university campuses where they perform this type of research.

But use caution with these opportunities. They may be fake. If it seems too good to be true— like NASA paying $18,000 to smoke weed for 70 days— it probably is.
