Have you ever heard about CBC or any of its benefits?
Cannabichromene (CBC) is a less popular cannabinoid than THC with several therapeutic capabilities. Cannabichromene doesn’t have the psychoactive effects that THC does. As a result, patients with anxiety who are sensitive to high doses of THC can get the health benefits of cannabinoids without the panicky high when ingesting CBC. Therefore, more and more products with high contents of this cannabinoid are showing up on the market.
Cannabichromene is one of the hundreds of known cannabinoids. Cannabigerolic acid (CBGA) needs to be cyclized by the enzyme CBCA synthase to give CBCA. From there, heat and time will cause CBCA to decarboxylate into CBC.
Even though the research on CBC is minimal, there’s enough out there for us to understand there are several potential medical uses for it. A study in 1981 found CBC was the second most prominent cannabinoid found in cannabis. Furthermore, the same study discovered several therapeutic uses for CBC.
