High Times works with a wide network of external contributors, writers, photographers and creators who help carry the culture forward. Unless listed above, they are not members of our staff.
High Times is a cannabis and culture publication with an openly stated pro-legalization perspective. That perspective does not lower our standard for accuracy. Our reporting is evidence-driven, and we hold claims about health, science, law and money to a high bar.
News and analysis. We distinguish straight news reporting from interpretive analysis, and label the two differently. Analysis carries a point of view but stays grounded in verifiable facts.
Sourcing. Our reporting draws on primary sources and credible secondary ones. We do not present anecdote as proof, and we do not describe experimental or preclinical findings as settled medical fact. On health in particular, we distinguish between what the evidence supports, what remains uncertain and what is not established. Nothing we publish is a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or other specialized advice.
When we get something wrong, we fix it. We add editor’s notes and corrections to the affected article, and where content is materially false we remove it and redirect readers to accurate reporting. To flag an error or request a correction, email 420@hightimes.com.
Legacy content. High Times has published for more than fifty years, and a large volume of older material predates our current editorial team and standards.
