Donald Trump supporters are creating fake anti-cannabis graphics using Hillary Clinton’s campaign logo to discourage cannabis supporters from voting for her. If you are a Hillary supporter and a pro-legalization advocate, keep in mind that these insidious graphics are fake.
“It’s time to put an end to the marijuana crisis on campus,” screams one meme posted by Trump-hat-wearing MicroTurkeyLeaks, with text superimposed on a group of smiling young adults. On the bottom of the image: “Paid for by Hillary for America,” which it certainly was not.
The Washington Post’s Wonkblog has done a great job uncovering a series of misleading anti-pot memes, tweets and Facebook posts that have been circulating in cyberspace, adding to the already vitriolic, dishonest and disgraceful presidential campaign.
The images all have the familiar Clinton campaign branding, but none were actually “Approved by Hillary for America.”
Rather, they are part of a concerted effort, launched by members of a pro-Trump Reddit community, to suppress support for Clinton among young, pot-friendly voters, points out the Washington Post.
Here are several anti-pot messages highlighted by the Wonk Blog:

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton has said she plans to move toward rescheduling marijuana and would like to look harder at decriminalization. Although a recent WikiLeaks hack on her campaign emails revealed that she will most likely follow Obama’s “hands off approach.”
The Trump campaign has made no secret of its efforts to discourage certain categories of people from voting this coming Tuesday.
“We have three major voter suppression operations underway,” a Trump campaign official told Bloomberg News, which include young liberals, women and black voters.
