Garrulous and lovable Barney Frank—the longtime congressman from the Boston area who became a liberal icon over his many years in Congress—faces off with a somewhat ambivalent legalization opponent in this televised debate from Boston TV station WCVB.

Question 4 on the Massachusetts November ballot allows citizens to vote on marijuana legalization.

Frank’s fellow debater is State Sen. Jason Lewis, who delivers a few wan talking points before confessing he really isn’t against legalization.

That’s when Frank slice and dices him.

Watch the whole thing here.
