Check out our holiday recommendations for every kind of stoner under the stoner sun! Here’s our list of books, music, games and vids that we loved this year.

Marijuana for Everybody!

This authoritative illustrated handbook offers clear and friendly primers on subjects such as what marijuana is, how it works, tips on getting high and managing the experience, cooking with pot, and FAQs as well as an “I’m High—Now What?” selection of activities and amusements for the freshly baked. Part manifesto, part party invitation, Marijuana for Everybody! is an informative and entertaining read for the uninitiated and practiced users alike. It’s the perfect gift—for everybody!

One Way Out: The Inside History of the Allman Brothers Band

On its way to becoming the definitive biography of the Allman Brothers Band, One Way Out: The Inside History of the Allman Brothers Band traces the rocky roads and super-high history of America’s favorite southern rock soldiers. Over the course of 25 years author Alan Paul conducted hundreds of hours of interviews with anyone connected with the band—from girlfriends, wives, crewmembers and producers, to famous friends like Eric Clapton, Bob Weir and Billy Gibbons. Hearing directly from founding members and drummers Butch Trucks and Jaimoe (they wrote the book’s foreword and afterword, respectively) as well as the modern-day lineup of musicians makes the 400-page book a fascinating read—because as we find out, fact is really stranger than fiction.

Bob Dylan’s The Basement Tapes Complete

This meticulously restored, definitive chronicle of Bob Dylan’s legendary 1967 sessions with The Band will make anyone who loves Dylan as much as the staff at High Times does explode with holiday joy. The historic six-disc set documents the period in Dylan’s life following his 1966 motorcycle accident, when he retreated to recover from his injuries in a little house in upstate New York with Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson and Levon Helm. They recorded more than 100 songs including now-classics “I Shall Be Released,” “This Wheel’s On Fire,” and “You Ain’t Going Nowhere.” You’ll get major brownie points if you give this to a Dylan lover.

Grateful Dead on Vinyl: Two From The Vault

The Deadhead in your life will go crazy for Two From The Vault, the first-ever Grateful Dead vinyl release recorded live during the Dead’s two-night stand at  LA’s Shrine Auditorium, August 23 and 24, 1968. These Pigpen-era shows showcase some of the band’s finest psychedelic, blues-rock jamming featuring a 15-minute plus “Good Morning Little Schoolgirl,” a frenetic “That’s It For The Other One” suite and a seventeen-minute romp through “Turn On Your Lovelight.” This worldwide vinyl debut showcases the classic six-man lineup of Pigpen, Garcia, Weir, Lesh, Kruetzmann, and Hart which, originally captured on multi-track tape, received the all-star mix-down treatment from sound gurus Dan Healy and Jeffrey Norman in 1992—and is now remastered by Joe Gastwirst to contain nine songs over a whopping eight sides of vinyl. Available for preorder December 9, 2014 from LightInTheAttic.Net.

Roach Party

Roach Party was originally released in 1979, but went underground for 35 years after the authorities came down on the manufacturers. Now the stoner board game’s back, branded with the motto “Win or lose, you’ll be high on this game.” The novelty of the game is entirely in its amusing cards and board; you need Fire, Papers, a Baggie and play money to pay for your theoretical weed. Roast a bowl, and roll the dice with some friends!  $5.00 discount for High Times readers. Just mention The High Times Gift Guide when ordering

Fantasia: Music Evolved

Fantasia: Music Evolved for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One with Kinect is the trippy interactive successor to Walt Disney’s Fantasia. Players enter the magical realm of Fantasia under apprenticeship to legendary sorcerer Yen Sid to hone their musical and magical prowess, and generate life and light by moving in rhythm with music. The game borrows classical and contemporary music, inserts it into Disney lore, and combines it all with unique gameplay in some beautiful psychedelic realms. Fun for the whole family.

High Maintenance

This web series about a weed delivery guy and the kooky folks he encounters on his rounds in New York City has taken the Internet by storm with its brilliant writing and cast. Husband-and-wife duo Ben Sinclair and Katja Blichfeld, co-creators of the hit series, have signed on with Vimeo to release their newest cycle of six episodes. At just $7.99 for a full year of streaming, this might be the best holiday gift deal we’ve heard of. You can watch the first 13 episodes here for free. Give the gift of great entertainment to someone you love.

WKRP in Cincinnati: The Complete Series

More than 100 rock stars are on the WKRP in Cincinnati soundtrack, from AC/DC to Neil Young, as it originally aired on CBS. After lengthy wrangling over music rights, an impressive collection of Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are back on the air: Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Tom Petty, Stevie Wonder, Blondie, the Grateful Dead, Elton John, Ray Charles, the Doors, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Elvis Presley, Elvis Costello, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Earth, Wind & Fire, Janis Joplin, Marvin Gaye, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton and more provide the soundtrack to the cast’s shenanigans. OG TV stoner Dr. Johnny Fever plays air guitar to Clapton’s “Layla,” nerdy newsman Les Nessman pulls on a curly wig to Foreigner’s “Hot Blooded” while getting dressed up for a date, and DJ Venus Flytrap mellows out to Chuck Mangione’s “Feels So Good.” This new box set of 90 episodes will make anyone who tuned in to WKRP feel grooooovy.

Evergreen: The Road to Legalization

An inside look at the battle to make bud legal, Evergreen documents the fight to pass I-502 in Washington, following campaign director Alison Holcomb and key players, including genial travel writer Rick Steves, on the statewide stump to rally support for the initiative. They meet with fierce opposition from medical marijuana supporters who oppose I-502, believing it could seriously impact the medical cannabis community and render them vulnerable to DWI charges. Evergreen skillfully captures the tension and drama in a normally tranquil community, as well as the historic vote to make weed legal in Washington. Buy it on iTunes or as a DVD.
