Colorado’s new retail marijuana industry is joining the rush for holiday shopping dollars.
The Grass Station in Denver offered traditional doorbuster deals on what some are calling “Green Friday.” The most popular was an ounce of marijuana for $50, about $200 less than the normal price for those strains.
The ounce special was only available to the first 16 customers but 120 people still lined up outside the shop, starting on Thursday evening.
Jarret Morgan picked up the last available ounce at the special price. He says he’s shopped on Black Friday before and said the ounce special was the best deal he saw this year. He says he doesn’t need any more TVs or GPS’s, adding you can get those every year.
