Afroman Punched a Woman in the Face

WTF, Afroman? The “Because I Got High” rapper knocked a female fan senseless at a show in Biloxi, Mississippi on Tuesday night after the woman got onstage and started dancing next to him, giving him a little booty bump.

Video of the brutal attack shows Afroman quickly spinning and delivering a right-handed haymaker to the woman’s face, knocking her completely off her feet. He then continues performing, despite there being a bleeding, crying woman on the ground behind him. Classy! The cops eventually stopped the show and hauled the performer (birth name: Joseph Edgar Foreman) off the stage. He was booked with assault and released on a $330 bond. There’s currently no word on how his punching victim is doing.

A spokesperson for the performer told Billboard, “This was a completely involuntary reflex reaction to people infringing on his stage space. It was uncharacteristic behavior that was initiated by outside uncontrolled forces.”

Hmm. We’re a little skeptical of that statement, given that the rapper hit the unidentified woman with all his might and then CONTINUED TO PERFORM like nothing happened. We also caught Afroman telling some pretty questionable “jokes” when he took the outdoor stage at the SoCal Cannabis Cup, one of which was about the difference between an onion and a hooker. Yuck.

Afroman’s rep claims there was a lack of security at the Biloxi venue to keep fans off the stage, and that this act is totally out of character for the performer. We can only hope that’s the case. Get better security, and don’t punch a woman in the face next time, ok? Smoke some weed and chill the f*#k out.
