NEW YORK (AP) — HBO says it’s going to pot by scoring the Web comedy series “High Maintenance.”
The network said Monday it will premiere six new episodes of the series, which centers on a Brooklyn, New York, marijuana dealer who delivers his wares to a variety of offbeat clients.
Highly acclaimed in its current home on the Vimeo website, the stash of 19 previous episodes of “High Maintenance” will also be available on HBO later this year.
The series is created and written by the married duo Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair, who stars as the friendly pot dealer.
The couple says they’ve been “growing this show organically” as a Web presence in preparation for its upcoming transplant to premium cable.
