Tommy Chong revealed on Tuesday that he is battling cancer once again.
The beloved Cheech and Chong star explained in an interview with Us Weekly that he is receiving treatment for rectal cancer.
“I’ve had some medical issues lately,” Chong told the magazine. “I got diagnosed with rectal cancer.
“I’m using cannabis like crazy now, more so than ever before,” he continued. “I’m in treatment now. I’ve been—just the case either way, either I get healed or I don’t. But either way, I’m going to make sure I get a little edge off or put up.”
Chong also took to Twitter to break the news, tweeting, “I have good news and bad news. First the bad news, the cancer came back and it’s a real pain in the butt. The good news is I now have to use more marijuana to treat the cancer.”
According to ABC News, Chong first dealt with cancer in 2012, when he battled stage-one prostate cancer.
High Times wishes him the speediest recovery.
