Cheech and Chong Destroy Prohibitionists with Hilarious Facebook Post

The beloved comic duo Cheech and Chong posted a hilarious meme on their Facebook page this week, and while the post is in-line with their stoner-hippie sense of humor, it also underscores one of the most absurd arguments against pot legalization.

The photo is of three scrumptious-looking pizza pies with the caption: “These are the innocent victims destroyed by cannabis.”

Cheech and Chong’s films, stand-up comedy routines and entertaining lifestyles have never shied away from defending weed.

As we come into the final stretch before the critical November elections, anti-legalization ads are hitting the airwaves, and the arguments against pot are simply not getting it right.

No one has ever died from smoking weed. The most shocking ads are the “driving while stoned” ones that have proved controversial. But a significant number of scientific studies have shown that while marijuana has a mild effect on psychomotor skills, it does not play a significant role in car crashes, especially when compared to alcohol.

Another anti-pot harangue is that weed is worse than cigarettes, although that absurd argument has been debunked on numerous occasions.

And, we know that weed in not addictive and not a gateway drug. The U.S. Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, even confirmed that recently.

So, let’s take advice from the experts—Cheech, 70, is still going strong and Chong, 78, is “kicking cancer’s ass.”

Tommy Chong revealed last summer that he had cancer and was “using cannabis like crazy now, more so than ever before.”

In a recent Health Nut News article, Chong said he’d lowered his Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) test numbers to the point where the cancer was “no longer a threat.”

“That’s Right, I Kicked Cancer’s Ass! So the magic plant does cure cancer with the right diet and supplements,” Chong boasted on his twitter account. Chong is still battling rectal cancer but reports concur that he’s doing well.

Tommy Chong, who is from Canada, says he intends to keep “priming the pump” until pot is legalized across the United States and in Canada.

Cheech Marin, a Mexican-American native of Los Angeles and a Latino art activist, is encouraging people to get out and vote.
