DEA Agents Arrested for Lying About Owning a Strip Club

Earlier this week, two veteran DEA agents were arrested after they conveniently neglected to disclose the fact that they owned a strip club. To make things worse, these double-dipping hypocrites employed mostly illegal immigrants, and reportedly encouraged them to engage in prostitution when they weren't collecting ones and fives.

The two agents under fire: David Polos, a DEA official based out of New York City, and Glen Glover, an office employee, were charged with providing the agency with inaccurate reports when they were asked about outside employment during a national security background check.

A criminal compliant filed with the Manhattan Federal District Court indicates the two men failed to divulge information about their ownership in the Twins Plus Go-Go Lounge in South Hackensack, NJ, as well as their active role in the club’s management. 

According to the complaint, federal investigators grew suspicious of the men back in 2011, when they noticed a large deposit in Glover’s bank account during a financial review. Although the $18,000 in question was merely chalked up as an investment, the trail from the loot eventually led authorities to the Twins – an exotic lounge where most of the dancers were Brazilian and Russian immigrants working without the proper documentation to do so in the United States.

The illegal nature of the strippers was no secret to Glover and Polos, as an investigation found they gave the girls additional opportunities to earn money so they could repay the people who had smuggled them into the country. However, it was not until investigators began conducting surveillance inside the club that they discovered most of the girls’ extra income was being generated through sex acts.

Interestingly, text messages from Glover’s phone revealed that some of the more voluptuous dancers were a bit overzealous in their sexual technique, which caused some destruction to club’s property.

“Can you tell [club member] to stop having sex with [sic] on the chair, it’s not built to handle all the added weight she is carrying,” one message read.

The Drug Enforcement Administration could have done without the latest embarrassment. Not even a month ago, the agency was forced to answer to a report by the Inspector General that found agents had been fraternizing with prostitutes on the cartel’s dime. This, of course, led to the forced resignation of agency administrator Michele Leonhart, who had been in charge of the nation’s drug war operations for the past 35 years.

The Justice Department announced last week that Chuck Rosenberg was taking over as acting DEA administrator, but so far, no official comment has been issued regarding the agency’s latest article of humiliation.

On Wednesday, Glover and Polos turned themselves in to authorities before going in front federal judge Kevin N Fox. Both men were granted release based on their own recognizance. They are pleading not guilty, according to reports. 

“Mr. Glover is a well-respected, highly decorated long-term DEA employee,” his attorney told reporters outside the courtroom. “We’re going to try this case in the courts, not in the press.”

Polos’s legal counsel argued much of the same, calling the charges “unwarranted and meritless.”

If found guilty, the two flesh peddling agents could spend the next five years dancing on poles themselves inside a federal penitentiary.
