KTVA Anchorage reporter Charlo Greene threw down the gauntlet live on-air in Alaska in support of legalizing cannabis and the video is now going viral after her termination. Here’s how it went down: Following a segment about a medical marijuana business, Greene revealed that she was actually the owner of the business and decided to go one step further:

“Now everything you’ve heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska. And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, fuck it, I quit.”

KTVA responded with a statement apologizing for her “inappropriate use of language” among other things. It seems now Greene can focus all of her efforts with the Alaska Cannabis Club to making sure Ballot Measure 2 passes. Props to her for standing up for cannabis and risking her day job in the process — we salute you!
