Best known for her cannabis-infused Italian cuisine, internet sensation Nonna Marijuana goes cross-cultural in her new recipe video, posted just in time for Hanukkah. Nonna’s already filmed a harvest feast (that went viral, with over 3 million views) and a Christmas special—so this year, she decided to make marijuana-infused latkes (potato pancakes) for all of her Jewish friends. The delicious “deep-fried” treats are traditionally served during the festival of lights, which this year starts on December 24.
Nonna famously “doesn’t get high on her own supply,” but does loudly and proudly advocate for medical marijuana, by cooking medicated meals for patients in need, and by supporting the Wo/Man’s Alliance for Medical Marijuana in Santa Cruz, California, which was co-founded by her daughter Valerie and for more than 20 years has been supplying sun-grown, organic, medical cannabis to patients who otherwise could not afford this life-saving treatment
If you’re moved to give this season, a donation to WAMM ensures their work serving those in need will continue.
