Can a weed-infused pre-workout protein shake help make exercise even better? When it comes to pre-workout cannabis consumption, the jury is split. Some users claim it gives them acute mental focus and increases in strength, while others pan the use of the plant before any intense workout.
If you consider yourself one of the former, then we have quite the treat for you.
Any nutritionist or workout enthusiast will tell you that it’s never good to exercise on an empty stomach (other than fasted cardio). So if you’re looking to load up on something high protein, while also getting a buzz without the stimulants of traditional pre-workout supplements, you might want to consider a weed-infused pre-workout protein shake.
It’s easy to make, chock full of protein and nutrients, and is guaranteed to enhance your workout if you’re a fan of toking up before the gym.
So without further ado, let’s take a look at how to make a simple weed-infused pre-workout protein shake.
- 1 Cup of Cannamilk (See Below)
- 2 Scoops of chocolate protein powder
- 1/2 Tbsp of Peanut Butter
- 1 Tbsp of Oats
- 1/2 of a Banana
- 1/4 cup of spinach
For the Cannamilk
- Decarboxylated Weed
- Choose your own dose and strain, but make sure to calculate the proper THC dosage
- General guideline: 0.5 – 1.0 gram of weed per quart of milk
How to Make:
This is far less of a daunting task then it appears. All you have to do is pour your milk into a Crock Pot and mix in your weed. Then, set the Crock-Pot on HIGH for an hour. You’re going to want to lower the heat, but continue heating it for another hour or two.
After it’s done, you can strain the bud out with a cheesecloth or even a coffee filter if need be. Once the buds are filtered out, you’re ready to rock.
For the Weed-Infused Pre-Workout Protein Shake
Step One: Combine Ingredients
Simply combine the aforementioned ingredients into a blender. These ingredients are simply our suggestion for a shake high in protein, but if you choose to substitute some of our choices, that’s fine too.
Step Two: Blend
Blend the ingredients until it’s a smooth, thick consistency. This should take anywhere between 30 seconds to a minute, depending on the ingredients you use.
Step Three: Enjoy!
That’s literally it! Now just pour it into a cup and drink. Now it’s time to get your butt to the gym.
Final Hit: How To Make A Weed-Infused Pre-Workout Protein Shake
While we consider this a pre-workout protein shake to get you a nice buzz before the gym, you can always consume this following your workout, especially if you want to get high for post-workout recovery. If you choose to use it for pre-workout purposes, you might want to consider using a sativa dominant strain. Take a look at this list of the top ten strains to improve your workout.
If you choose to use it for post-workout, you might want to use an indica-dominant strain, which should give you a relaxing body high following your workout. Not to mention, a case of the munchies to help facilitate muscle growth.
