Tuesday’s tips for beginner growers are brought to you by High Times Cultivation Editor Nico Escondido.

1. A relative humidity of between 50 – 60 percent is good for a home cannabis garden. When the humidity drops below 40 percent, plants experience stress.

2. Hydro growers: Rockwool does not replenish oxygen quickly. Do not overwater Rockwool as it retains water for longer periods, blocking out oxygen and suffocating roots.

3. You can raise garden humidity by using a standard domestic humidifier, periodic mist spraying or by using an enclosed chamber with a pebble tray that has water halfway up the pebbles.
