Farmer Offers 10 Acres of Pot for Malia Obama’s Hand in Marriage

A Jamaican farmer has offered President Obama 10 acres of marijuana for Malia Obama to become his daughter-in-law.

According to Kenya Today, Roy Chambers of St. James Jamaica believes that Malia and his 17-year-old son would be the “perfect couple,” and to prove it, he is willing to give up his “most valuable possession”—his marijuana farm.

“I tried to approach President Obama with my offer while he was in Jamaica a few months ago but the security prevented me,” Chambers told the Jamaican website 18 Karat Reggae Gold. “I have sent him a regular mail to the white house and also an email so I hope he will reply soon.”

Believe it or not, this is not the first marriage offer that the president has received for his teenage daughter.

A Kenyan lawyer recently offered Obama 50 cows, 70 sheep and 30 goats for Malia’s hand in marriage—an offer dismissed as “a sign of bad luck and bankruptcy” by a second Kenyan suitor, Jeff ole Kishau.

“I will give the Obama family 500 cows in accordance with African traditions and sell all my Maasai land in Suswa, Ewuaso Kidong and another one at the world-famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve just to win her,” Kishau told the Daily Nation last month. “I will be the happiest man in the world if the most powerful man in the world becomes my father-in-law.”

The White House has not commented on any of the offers.
