Returning to the historic Emerald Triangle, the Northern Nights Music Festival pioneers an educational spin within the cannabis industry.
Festivals have revolutionized the way we connect, communicate, and share our common beliefs about the world we want to live in. The NNMF has been a part of this evolving force of change for the past five years. This year’s festival takes place this weekend, July 14-16. The three-day event celebrates emerging underground music, and features some of the most sought-out producers and DJs from around the globe.
The NNMF’s mission is heart-set, bringing awareness and light to the cannabis growers that have cultivated the magical plant we all love for generations, bridging the disconnected gap between cities and the countryside. Honoring the traditions of previous festivals in the region, the NNMF donates a portion of proceeds from ticket and beverage sales to the Mendocino and Humboldt school districts, nonprofits, and environmental groups.
We stand at a critical point in history, where riots and peaceful protests intertwine. We have the opportunity to empower ourselves and others through multi-sensory experiences and artistic expressions—we can live unforgettable weekends with the tribe, contributing to eco-friendly awareness in the most innovative ways.
Following this flow, this year the NNMF announced they are expanding the first-ever Medical Marijuana Zone into a full state-of-the-art “Tree Lounge” for legal cannabis card holders in California. The fest is continuing the fight to end the 80-year-old stigma and prohibition on marijuana, merging entertainment and education.
The lounge will be an exclusive, innovative and educational oasis in the center of the festival providing information, on-site doctor recommendations, cannabis sampling, interactive installations, massage, refreshments, and even meet-and-greets with headliners and performances throughout the weekend. The Tree Lounge will feature Humboldt, Mendocino and Northern California cultivators that have been perfecting their trade behind the Redwood curtain since the beginning, now coming forward at the end of cannabis prohibition.
There’s no better way to center the mind and spirit than surrounded by the majestic Redwood forests of NorCal, while supporting a critical juncture in cannabis history.
Check out the Royal Gold Tree Stage and the surrounding offerings, including a new “Purple Nights” Art Gallery showcasing works from some of the finest glass artists from around the world. There will be beachside dance parties, afternoon river swims, and a diverse lineup of internationally renowned and breakout musical and mural artists, with world-class production.
