Trump Freaks Out over Snoop Dogg’s New Video—and It’s Priceless

Who doesn’t love a Trump Twitter rant, especially when he’s railing against someone in the entertainment industry who could care less what he thinks?

One such rant is underway between the president and everyone’s favorite stoner, Snoop Dogg—so get the popcorn out.

In a new video for Canada’s BADBADNOTGOOD’s “Lavender” (Nightfall Remix), a character named “Ronald Klump,” an obvious satirical Donald Trump presented as a clueless clown, is shot by Snoop Dogg with a Looney Tunes-style gun. BANG! says the little flag that flops out.

This mock shooting drove the president straight to his Twitter account.

Somehow, between the release of the GOP health care bill and breaking news about his profoundly secretive tax returns, Twitter-storming Snoop became a priority for the attention deficient president.

Actually, Snoop’s career is anything but failing at this point, but that’s another story. And the free publicity for this video has to be invaluable.

At first glance, the video’s clown faces (on everyone) and the “Snoop Loops” breakfast cereal come off as amusing. However, the message quickly becomes evident.

At one point in the video, Clown-in-Chief Klump, who looks very much like the real one in the White House, is holding a press conference to announce that he is going to “deport all dogs.”

Actor Michael Rapaport, father in the video’s clown family, is stopped while driving and smoking weed. He’s then shot dead by the clown cop.

This is an obvious reference to last July in Minnesota when Philando Castile was pulled over for a busted taillight, then fatally shot by the cops. His girlfriend recorded the entire encounter and posted it online.

Even though the character in the video is white, Snoop is addressing the issue of police shootings, mass incarceration of people of color and white dominance in the weed industry, as confirmed in a Billboard interview with him:

“…police being able to kill motherf–kers and get away with it; people being in jail for weed for 20, 30 years and motherf–kers that’s not black on the streets making money off of it—but if you got color or ethnicity connected to your name, you’ve been wrongfully accused or locked up for it, and then you watching people not of color position themselves to get millions and billions off of it. It’s a lot of clown sh-t going on that we could just sit and talk on the phone all day about, but it’s a few issues that we really wanted to lock into [for the video] like police, the president and just life in general.”

Although Snoop Dogg has never been overtly engaged in political activism, with the shocking group of unapologetic racists, bigots and corporate warriors in the White House, political activism is exploding all over the place.

National Public Radio pointed to Rodney Carmichael’s comment about the recent work of Joey Bada$$ in the “Land of the Free”:

“Even when totally devoid of overt sociopolitical commentary, rap consistently speaks volumes about the state of The Union.”

Oh, and yes, reports that Snoop has been arrested for conspiracy, being circulated by fake news sites, are false, according to Snopes.
