Unless you’re a dispensary operator or home grower, smaller, “pocket scales” are likely to have all the features you’d ever need. Build quality and accuracy are more important. For personal, non-commercial use, you’ll need a scale that can measure accurately up to at least a couple ounces of dried flower. Most pocket scales won’t have problems in the weight-limit department. But since accuracy is a must, the best scales will have a resolution of 0.1, or one-tenth of a gram. Accuracy to a hundredth of a gram, or 0.01 grams, is overkill for measuring herb. But it’s perfect for weighing smaller amounts like dabs.
