1. Chicago’s First Medical Marijuana Dispensary Opens Today

Although their selection of products is currently limited, Dispensary 33—the first dispensary in Chicago to receive a Medical Cannabis Dispensary license from the city—opened today at 11 a.m. The shop will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day until Sunday, December 13, when their official hours will be revealed.

2. Bow Wow Is Getting Slammed for a Video He Made About Dabs

Rapper Bow Wow released a video yesterday in which he tried to explain the origin of dabs—and lets just say, his facts don’t seem to be exactly on point. Cue the social media firestorm. Migos tweeted that “Bow wow must of got a little too high this morning,” and Rich The Kid tweeted that Bow Wow “sound dumb as fuck right now.” Others have continued to chime in, turning it into a whole “thing.”

3. Portland Welcomes a Hipster Santa Claus

One of our favorite stony cities has us tripping out over their new take on Santa. A mall Santa in Portland, Oregon has ditched the conventional red suit for more hipster attire. Sporting a man bun, thick-rimmed glasses, skinny jeans and The Dude’s sweater, Saint Nick 2.0 will return to Pioneer Place Mall on December 10 and 17.

4. New Report Reveals Merrill Lynch Is Bullish on Marijuana

A leaked, 45-page equity report from the investment arm of Bank of America, Merrill Lynch has given us an interesting peek at how Wall Street is starting to view the expanding pot market. While the document did not touch upon investing in companies directly involved with growing, processing or selling marijuana products, it did highlight investments in the “cannabis testing market” and noted that legal marijuana could be more than $7 billion annually with the potential for exponential growth.

5. Largest Study to Date Finds CBD Helpful in Treating Epileptic Children

Another new study has offered proof that cannabidiol is a safe and effective for of anti-epileptic therapy. Praised as the largest study on CBD and epilepsy to date, the cannabinoid was shown to be beneficial for most participants.
