Pack your bowls, stay hydrated and prepare yourselves—Nevada’s first-ever public Cannabis Cup event is just around the corner, and you’re invited. There are several reasons why Nevada is a big player in the national cannabis industry, including the state’s claim of being home to some of the largest dispensaries in the world, and its focus on cannabis tourism through expanding provisions such as consumption lounges.

The High Times Cannabis Cup Nevada: People’s Choice Edition 2021 aims to identify and award the best cannabis products—across a wide range of different categories, all to be judged by the great people of Nevada.

This event will be the first-ever competition that is open to the Nevada public and will see the largest pool of judges in its history. This is a sampling dream for leading cannabis companies to get their best cannabis products into the hands of hundreds of new customers, who will provide feedback on your entries, plus thousands of impressions.

May the best products win!

Intake for product submissions begins on October 18 and runs through October 20. The Judge Kit goes on-sale across Nevada beginning on October 29. Also on October 29, judging begins—running through December 12. Finally, the Awards Show will take place on December 19—giving contestants time to head back home for the holidays.

This is a recreational cannabis competition only. All products must be licensed by Nevada’s Cannabis Compliance Board (CCB), and adhere to State and local regulations. Keep in mind, as a reminder, that medical cannabis product will NOT be allowed.

Categories include Best Indica, Sativa and Hybrid Flower; as well as Pre-Rolls and Infused Pre-Rolls; Indica and Sativa Concentrates; Vape Pens & Cartridges; Edibles, Gummies and Non-Gummies.

Since 1988—the Cannabis Cup tradition has spread from its humble beginnings in Amsterdam to several state-specific contests spread out across the U.S., eventually becoming synonymous with cannabis lore. Don’t miss it.
