He's Editor-in-Chief of High Times Magazine, CEO and co-founder of the Spanish-language outlet El Planteo, Co-Founder of IgniteIt Inc. (the media and events company built by the team behind Benzinga Cannabis), and a Senior Contributor at Forbes, where he's covered the industry since 2019. Before all that, he ran Cannabis at Benzinga as Managing Director. MoreBetter tracked 4,516 people across 36 hemp THC beverages for three weeks each. On days participants drank one, their modeled probability of also drinking alcohol fell from 22.9% to 10.9%, significant for 23 of the 36 products and moving the same direction in every case. Fifty days after the study ended, 63% of those surveyed said they were still drinking less. None of the 36 products would clear the federal cap arriving in November.

Air India flight AI2379 dropped roughly 300 feet over the Odisha coast on August 4, injuring 24 people. Its captain later tested positive for cannabis, and that became the story. What most of the coverage buried: the first officer was at the controls, the captain was standing behind his seat, and Airbus says all three hydraulic systems lost pressure while the elevators and ailerons went unresponsive for about four seconds.
